Consignments
are always welcome!
We
will meet with you, free of charge, and with no obligation, to discuss the value of your items
either in your home or at our offices. We are available to handle
any quantity of merchandise from one item to entire estates. Our
interests include furniture, paintings, prints, silver, nautical,
antique scrimshaw, primitives, art pottery, glass, oriental carpets,
ephemera, clocks and watches, jewelry, and more. When you consign to us you
will be given a receipt from our representative which lists your
consignment items and terms. Following the auction you will receive a computerized
printout which lists each lot sold, the bid amount and the commission
charged. You are, of course, welcome to attend the auction. We
are also prepared to make an offer on items of interest if you prefer to
sell outright rather than on consignment.
Our antiques auctions are advertised in both
national and local publications as well as on-line and through direct
mailings to our customers worldwide. Our
auction catalog is available online prior to the auction and includes photos
and descriptions of the merchandise being offered in the
auction. Our online catalog combined with our print and direct mail
advertising insures your antiques the most comprehensive exposure
available.
Many of our auctions incorporate live EBay bidding.
With the EBay live auction platform bidders worldwide can bid
online as the auction progresses or leave absentee bids which
are executed through the internet. This technology allows
for an unlimited number of bidders. MV Auctions was the
